We start from your Athens hotel/accommodation and optionally from the airport, the port of Athens (Piraeus), or any other location near Athens or Nafplio, or Hydra island. The itinerary is flexible and the sites, the stops, and the culinary options are fully adjustable depending on your personal preferences to be discussed and decided after your booking.
The Corinth Canal
Our first stop, the Corinth Canal, connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. Then, we head for Ancient Corinth!
Ancient Corinth was inhabited in the Neolithic period (6500-3250 BC) but the big prosperity began in the 8th century. Corinth was a city-state on the Isthmus (canal) of Corinth, the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta.
The Mythical Peloponnese region
By crossing the Corinth Canal we shall be entering the Mythical Peloponnese. Probably the best region of Greece that combines everything you need to make you feel Greek. The region is limitless in terms of locations of interest: culture, landscape, mountains, coastline, beaches, islands, food, drink, wineries, and attractions like caves and old railways.
At the same time, the Peloponnese can offer you a real food experience.
Nafplio town
GREEK COFFEE STOP? Nafplio is one of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (Eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece. We start with a Greek coffee at the main square of Nafplio right in the center of the Old Town. This is the most popular area of Nafplio next to the port.
Then, we explore all the great spots of the Old Town and the port before heading for the Palamidi fortress.
OPTION: Palamidi Fortress & the 999 steps
OUZO DRINK AND SNACK THE PROPER WAY: Walk down the 999 steps and enjoy the amazing views of the Nafplio Old Town, port, and surrounding water.
After this, it will be the perfect time to try Ouzo with pre-lunch snacks where the locals gather and people-watch.
LUNCH WITH THE LOCALS: A special location that tourists will not know and where the service, the owners, the food quality, and the atmosphere are “Greek”. Multiple dishes for you to taste real Greek cuisine accompanied by beer or wine or any other soft drink.
Epidaurus Theater
Our final site to visit is the theatre of Epidaurus which was built in 330-20 BC. It represents the finest and best-preserved example of classical Greek theatre. Even by today’s standards, this monument stands out as a unique artistic achievement through its admirable integration into the landscape and above all the perfection of its proportions and incomparable acoustics.
We head to Athens following a different return route along the coastline almost 90% of the time.
OPTION: Wine-tasting visit to one of the many wineries in the region of the tour. The Nemea area of the Peloponnese is the most famous wine region of Greece. Approximate pricing at 13-20 EUR/person for a tasting of 5 labels.
Mycenae Archeological site
OPTION/ALTERNATIVE (to choose between Mycenae and Epidaurus): Mycenae is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of King Agamemnon and the Mycenean civilization with some of Greece’s most famous ancient ruins. Wander around the archaeological site and accompanying museum.
OPTION: OUZO distillery & tasting. A family-run business that has been continually operational for the last 145 years producing Ouzo, Tsipouro, and Masticha all distilled in modern copper stills. [Eudaimonia Private Tours Athens Greece]

If an alternative is not available or acceptable you will be entitled to a full refund.
Eudaimonia encourages all clients to communicate as early as possible concerning cancellation issues which could allow the agency to offer a better refund – partial or full- to a client despite the standard cancellation policy described in this document. This is a decision not to be discussed with or disputed by the client and will be made entirely by Eudaimonia to better serve the client if it is possible.
Eudaimonia itineraries are flexible, and if possible, the requirements of clients will be facilitated. Eudaimonia reserves the right to vary, modify, or cancel any itinerary, either partly or wholly.
