☼☼☼ The Ultimate Greek Experience: 7-Day Tour to Real Greece of the Mythical Peloponnese, Unique Locations, Food & Drink, plus Delphi and Meteora ☼☼☼

From the initial contact with Nikos at Eudaimonia Private Tours months before our trip, we found him to be so responsive, patient, and flexible.

We spent almost a week with Nikos as our driver/guide. We first met him at the airport for our hotel transfer and we took tours to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, Delphi, Meteora, Corinth canal, mountain villages in Peloponnese, Ermioni, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Mycenae, as well as Spetses and Hydra islands. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience!

Because we are of a certain age and not as agile as we once were, we had the flexibility to do as much as we could and take our time.

The hotel accommodation selected by Nikos out of Kalampaka (near Meteora) was excellent, and for our three nights in Ermioni, we stayed at the Treehouse Vacation Homes, which are managed by Yota, Nikos’ wife. Our apartment was awesome and well-equipped, with a fantastic view of the port at Ermioni. Yota invited us for coffee and sweet snacks, and on our first night, we found a wonderful salad she had prepared for us so we wouldn’t have to go out after our journey there. She was so helpful with our rides to take the passenger boat to Hydra and picking us up. You cannot ask for a better place to stay. There was great food for breakfast in the refrigerator, and we enjoyed drinking our morning coffee and eating breakfast on the balcony.

Nikos seemed to know someone in every town and was able to quickly make some changes to our schedule when the rain was pouring in the mountains. He also carried with him the makings for Greek coffee, which provided a refreshing break during our travels!

Athens Acropolis

On our last evening, we had arranged an overnight stay at a self-catering cottage near the airport. Not being familiar with the place, he made a stop and bought water for us to have for the evening. He literally thinks of everything!

We enjoyed seeing an authentic Greece–being able to go to some places that are not on the beaten path and eating at restaurants where more local people than tourists eat was terrific. The food was divine! We wanted to see as much of the country as we could in the time we had, and Nikos certainly delivered on that.

I highly recommend booking any of the tours with Eudaimonia Private Tours and Nikos–you will not be disappointed. We are happy to have our new friends Nikos and Yota, and we hope to be able to visit again. (We actually met the whole family! Nikos and Yota’s handsome son is one of the staff members at the hotel where we stayed in Athens–he takes after his parents and is also thoughtful, kind and helpful).

Thanks, Nikos and Yota, for making our trip to Greece so memorable. We hope to see you again one day!
